<p><strong>Outside Sales Engineer/Technical Sales Executive:</strong></p><p><em>Note: Only U.S. Citizens apply since defense-related customers and security requirements make citizenship mandatory</em></p><p><br></p><p>Our client is looking for charismatic, energetic, self-motivated, full-time <strong>Outside Technical Sales Executive/Engineer </strong>to join their sales team in <strong>either Huntington Beach, CA or Rancho Cucamonga, CA</strong>. <strong><em>Candidates must have a good understanding of the anatomy of a circuit board and the application of conformal coatings.</em></strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications/Required Experience</strong>:</p><ul><li><strong>10 years+ in Direct Outside Technical Sales of materials or electronic systems with knowledge of conformal coatings (Familiarity with plasma technologies, application of conformal coatings, potting/encapsulation and epoxy compounds preferred)</strong></li><li>Industry experience in aerospace & defense, electronics, medical equipment, industrial or automotive hardware component technology experience required who has worked in both large & smaller volume operations and environments</li><li>Experience selling to Tier 1 or Tier 2 type customers is preferred</li><li>Strong knowledge of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques</li><li>National domestic travel including approximately 12 trade shows annually</li><li>Customer-facing presentations and business development activities</li><li>Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas</li><li>Able to read engineering drawings and calculate cost and pricing for bids</li><li>Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control</li><li>Account development and time management</li><li>Strong knowledge in Contract Manufacturing</li><li>Manage qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers</li><li>Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills</li><li>Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers</li><li>Professional demeanor, selling style, and appearance</li><li>Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills</li><li>Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm</li><li>Ability to work individually and as part of a team</li><li>High level of integrity and work ethic</li><li>Candidate must have excellent verbal and written skills</li><li>Must be competent in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Education</strong>: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or Business required</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Intangibles:</strong></p><ul><li>Candidates with knowledge of application engineering who understand where coating would be most effectively applied for particular customers would be highly regarded</li><li>Experience at similar companies (conformal coating, engineering services) would be highly favorable</li><li>The candidate should not be the type that relies on large infrastructure (layers) matrix type organizations to complete assignments</li><li>Motivation, energy, drive and experience are the desired intangibles</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Personality type</strong>:</p><ul><li>Looking for “driver" personality that has demonstrated closing skills</li><li>Ideally the individual likes challenges but presents a refined and somewhat understated persona</li><li>Willing to go out on the factory floor and work with Operations when necessary, but spends most of their time in the field bringing work in</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> Base salary with unlimited commission structure:</p><ul><li>Realistic Year 1 $200K-$250K OTE</li><li>Established performers $400K+ OTE</li><li>Top reps exceed $500K OTE</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Security Requirements: </strong>Candidates must be able to pass:</p><ul><li>Extensive background investigation</li><li>Security screening</li><li>No DUI history</li><li>No reckless driving history</li></ul><p><strong><em>Our client maintains a highly secure operation and is CMMC Level 2 certified</em></strong></p><p></p>
