Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking experienced and passionate Spa Therapists to join luxury cruise ships offering world-class wellness and beauty services to international guests. Key Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of spa treatments including massages, facials, body wraps, and beauty therapies following established protocols.

• Assess guests needs and preferences to recommend and customize treatments accordingly.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming spa environment adhering to hygiene and safety standards.

• Manage inventory of spa products and supplies efficiently, reporting any shortages or equipment malfunctions.

• Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and promoting spa services and retail products.

• Collaborate closely with the spa team and cruise ship staff to maintain smooth daily operations.

• Stay updated with the latest spa therapy techniques and product knowledge.

• Comply with all shipboard regulations, safety policies, and professional ethics.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certified qualification in Spa Therapy or Beauty Therapy from a recognized institution.

• Valid certification/licence as a massage therapist or spa therapist.

• Proven experience in delivering professional spa treatments in luxury or hospitality settings.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.

• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team and adapt to a mobile work environment.

• Good physical stamina to perform spa treatments and stand for extended periods.

• Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is essential. Additional languages are a plus.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a Spa Therapist or similar role.

• Prior experience in cruise ship spa services or luxury hotel spas is highly advantageous.

• Experience working with a diverse international clientele is preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time contract-based positions, typically rotating shifts to cover spa operational hours (including evenings and weekends).

• Contracts usually range from 3 to 6 months, with potential renewal based on performance and availability.

• Working and living onboard the cruise ship for the contract duration with designated off-hours and shore leave as per cruise schedules.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of various spa therapy modalities such as Swedish massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, and skincare treatments.

• Strong customer service orientation with ability to build rapport and trust with guests.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and maintain professional ethics.
