Whether you are freshly out of art school or self-taught with a stunning portfolio, we are looking for someone who brings characters to life with heart, humor, and vibrant creativity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior illustrators, writers, and editors to visually conceptualize childrens stories and digital content.

  • Create expressive, original illustrations aligned with project briefs and target age groups (primarily ages 3–10).

  • Translate written narratives into sequential art, ensuring visual consistency and emotional resonance.

  • Work with digital tools to prepare artwork in required formats, resolutions, and layouts.

  • Take constructive feedback and revise artwork based on editorial and creative direction.

  • Maintain project deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and bring fresh, imaginative ideas to the table.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong drawing, sketching, and coloring skills, particularly for characters, animals, and imaginative scenes.

  • Proficiency in digital illustration tools (such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or similar).

  • Ability to adapt artistic style based on brand or book requirements.

  • Solid understanding of composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.

  • Basic knowledge of file formats and exporting illustrations for print and digital publishing.

  • Strong communication and time management skills.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of professional experience in illustration or digital art.

  • A portfolio showcasing relevant work for childrens content is essential (even personal or student projects are welcome).

  • Internship or freelance experience in illustration is a plus but not required.

Working Hours

  • Flexible schedule with the option to choose your preferred working hours.

  • Must be available for weekly check-in meetings and occasional project reviews via Zoom or similar tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Passion for childrens literature, early education, and visual storytelling.

  • An eye for detail, color harmony, and emotive expression in characters.

  • Ability to accept feedback positively and adjust creative output accordingly.

  • Self-motivated and reliable in a remote work environment.

  • Creative problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn and grow artistically.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay based on experience and portfolio.

  • Remote work flexibility – work from home or anywhere in the world.

  • Opportunity to build a diverse portfolio of published work.

  • Supportive and collaborative creative team environment.

  • Mentorship from experienced illustrators and art directors.

  • Ongoing opportunities for long-term collaboration and career advancement.
