Remote Dental Billing Team Manager– Dentrix Enterprise

Discover Dental Billing is a leading provider of billing and insurance posting services for dental practices across the United States. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Billing Specialist with expertise in Dentrix Enterprise and Dentrix Ascend to join our growing remote team and act as it's central manager. You will be overseeing a remote team of 14 individuals who perform Insurance Verifications, Payment Posting, and Account Aging.

To be successful in this role, you must have recent, hands-on experience with Dentrix Enterprise and be able to begin working with minimal training or supervision. If you're looking to work from home and bring dependable billing experience to a collaborative and supportive team, we’d love to hear from you. The account you'll oversee is in the process of migrating to Dentrix Ascend. Your team will be working in both Enterprise and Ascend as the office fully transitions over the next 5-6 months.

This is a full-time, remote position. Applicants residing in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, or Texas get priority. Will consider other states with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, review, and manage a team of 14 for dental insurance billing, payment posting and account aging using Dentrix Enterprise and Dentrix Ascend
  • Access client practice software remotely using a company-provided computer
  • Accurately post EOBs and reconcile insurance payments
  • Monitor and update patient accounts, including data entry, adjustments, and account notes
  • Communicate professionally with client offices regarding account updates and monthly changes
  • Generate and submit monthly account reports for supervisor and client review
General Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, home office environment
  • Reliable high-speed internet (Minimum 100 Mbps required)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Dependable and highly organized
Specific Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Dentrix Enterprise
  • At least 4 years of dental insurance billing experience (2+ years preferred)
  • Strong understanding of insurance coordination of benefits and account adjustments
  • Familiarity with write-offs, secondary insurance billing, and accurate ledger management
  • Strong people skills and strong fortitude to manage team and client expectations
Job Type: Full-time

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

Pay: $25.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

  • If you are submitting full office UCR fees on claims and the office is in-network with a PPO insurance company and has posted contracted fees on the ledger using up-to-date fee schedules, will a write-off be required when you post a payment?
  • When a patient has dual coverage and the primary insurance has paid, can you apply an adjustment before receiving the secondary payment?
