Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a talented and creative Online Illustrator – Childrens Books to bring heartwarming and imaginative stories to life through engaging visual storytelling. As part of our remote creative team, you will collaborate closely with authors, editors, and designers to craft vibrant illustrations that capture the essence of each story and resonate with young readers. This role is perfect for illustrators who are passionate about childrens literature and have a unique artistic flair.

Key Responsibilities

• Create original illustrations that align with the tone, themes, and characters of assigned childrens book manuscripts.

• Develop concept sketches, storyboards, and final artwork based on creative briefs and editorial feedback.

• Design engaging cover art and interior illustrations that appeal to a young audience.

• Collaborate with authors, editors, and layout designers to ensure consistency in visual storytelling.

• Maintain deadlines and deliver high-quality digital artwork in industry-standard formats.

• Revise illustrations based on feedback and editorial direction.

• Maintain brand style consistency where required, or develop new styles suited to specific book themes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong portfolio showcasing childrens book illustrations or related work.

• Proficiency in digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate).

• Excellent drawing and storytelling abilities, with a focus on child-friendly aesthetics.

• Understanding of composition, color theory, and character design.

• Ability to interpret narrative texts and translate them into expressive visuals.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work remotely with a team.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in illustrating for childrens books or similar creative fields.

• Freelance or published work experience is a plus but not mandatory for exceptionally skilled candidates.

• Freshers with a strong portfolio and creativity are encouraged to apply.

Working Hours
