Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is hiring responsible and caring individuals for Babysitting Jobs available during evenings and weekends, perfect for college students or part-time job seekers who enjoy working with children. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity to support families by providing safe, engaging, and nurturing care to children in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage with children in age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play.

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.

  • Prepare simple meals and snacks when required.

  • Maintain a clean and organized play or care area.

  • Assist with bedtime routines including reading and getting children ready for bed.

  • Communicate clearly and regularly with parents or guardians.

  • Handle minor emergencies calmly and responsibly, notifying parents when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.

  • Genuine love and patience for working with children.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions provided by parents.

  • Punctual, trustworthy, and responsible.

  • Basic understanding of child behavior and first aid is a plus.

Experience

  • No professional experience required—ideal for students or individuals with informal childcare background (such as babysitting siblings or neighbors kids).

  • Prior experience in babysitting, tutoring, or child-related activities will be an added advantage.

Working Hours

  • Evenings (5 PM – 9 PM) and Weekends (Flexible Shifts available between 9 AM – 9 PM)

  • Minimum 2 shifts per week; maximum flexibility to accommodate study schedules.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

  • Knowledge of basic child safety and hygiene practices.

  • Energetic and creative mindset to keep children engaged.

  • Ability to multitask and adapt to different household environments.
